Can I bring my dog?
No, unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the salt mine and the old refinery.
Is the tour suitable for small children?
Yes, you can bring children of any age. Please understand that the route underground is not suitable for prams or pushchairs. Please bear in mind that the temperature underground is about +12° C - please dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes.
Can we videotape and take photographs?
Yes, both are permitted. However, not during the chute.
Is it possible to take a tour without an escort?
No, guests are escorted through the adventure mine.
When do we need to arrive if we have reserved a group tour?
Please report to the till point at the reserved time.
Do we have to slide?
No. You can avoid the chute with either a footpath and one with a staircase.
Is it possible to visit the salt mine with a wheelchair?
Yes, it is definitely possible. But two adult accompanying persons are required per wheelchair user.
How long does a tour last?
The tour lasts about one hour. Putting on and removing the clothing takes an additional 30 minutes.
How far is the path underground in the salt mine by foot?
About 800m.
How long will we walk in the salt mine?
About 1 hour.
How do we get to the salt mine?
The salt mine is located at the end of Berchtesgaden in the direction of Marktschellenberg / Salzburg a can be reached via the A8 Munich-Salzburg, exit Bad Reichenhall or the A10 Salzburg-Villach, exit Salzburg Süd.
